New Zealand: Milford Sound – March 2008

The must do trip from Queenstown. At about 250km, a full day is required, unless you fly. Milford Sound is a Fjord that eventually opens to the Tasman sea and features spectacular scenery, the photos below will tell more than words ever could… the only thing they can’t convey is the sheer scale of the place, on the photo with the waterfall look at the base of the falls; that’s a very large boat capable of carrying a few hundred people.
