WTF: BP Execs and UK MPs ‘asked’ to attend US Senate inquiry
These Senate hearings/ inquiries seem to be less about fact gathering and more like a bear pit from what we see on the TV; a chance for a US Senator to throw a few smart lines and possibly gain a few votes from the braying public.
Seems they now want to have another crack at BP and some alleged shenanigans over the release of Al Megrahi (the Lockerbie Bomber), when did America get appointed as World Policeman? – I must have missed that memo…
Before too many fingers are pointed it might be time to check a few files of their own; glass houses and all that.
There are a few people in Bhopal that might like an inquiry, and maybe a few more convictions than the 5 Indian nationals currently serving time.
