travel postcards, practical advice, images and snippets of randomness

Generally Christmas doesn’t seem to be much of a deal here (everyone seems to be gearing up for New Year), there is a small nod to the event in the big mall…

There is also a tree inside the mall, which seems to have been decorated with dolls about a meter tall; so it rather looks as if small children have been thrown in to the tree – quite odd…

On another matter, shops in South East Asia often seem to have rather confusing retail offers; I know a fruit and veg shop that specialises in Chinese funeral requirements and I passed a shoe repair shop this morning that was selling fresh pancakes from a griddle.

Whilst the shops in malls tend to be international and with offers like you would expect, how about this: shampoo and banjolele anyone?
